About me
My name is Andrew Khramtsov. I am a Rust developer with real commercial experience.
I have worked with the following technologies: PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, Cassandra, Oracle, Protobuf. Commercially. Also Jira and Confluence.
I also have worked with other languages on my own: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, some C# with Unity, and C++. This does not make me an expert in all these languages but does reflect in the quality of my work. I have been programming since 2017 and always did what was interesting to me, eventually stumbling into Rust. I do still use some JS and Python from time to time.
Some of the projects I did are available online. Most of the recent ones are in Rust. I do all sorts of programming: gamedev, web dev, embedded.
I am mindful of the tools I use, but I don't let myself get too carried away. I prefer local-first for personal things so I don't use cloud VCS there. I don't generate code with LLMs because I like programming. I use the horrible text editor called Neovim to type in my code. Also I use Linux. My setup is pretty minimal overall.
I value actual skill and internal drive, so I don't really work for a resume. I hold all code to high standards, but of course nuance matters.
You can hire me if you need a person who likes getting things done and respects deadlines: contact page. My recent code is not in the cloud but I can show it to those who are interested.
